The Berger VLD Hunting Rifle Bullet is one of the flattest shooting hunting Rifle Bullets in the industry. VLD Hunting Rifle Bullets are identical in design to VLD Target Rifle Bullets except utilize a thinner J4 Precision jacket for rapid expansion during game applications. VLD Hunting Rifle Bullets are designed to penetrate 2-3″ and then begin to expand and create a massive wound cavity up to 15″. The hydrostatic shock causes most animals to drop immediately. VLD Hunting Rifle Bullets incoporate a secant ogive design which allows the Rifle Bullet to experience less drag as it travels to the target. This reduced drag is why the VLD shoots flatter, experiences less wind-drift, and has a higher retained velocity than all others. A favorite load technique for the VLD’s is touching the rifling for single-shot applications, although some rifles may prefer as much as .150″ from the rifling. Berger VLD Hunting Rifle Bullets are extremely popular for long range hunting applications. Built with highly consistent J4 Precision Rifle Bullet jackets, most favored by custom Rifle Bullet makers. Bullet Comparator Inserts are designed for use with the Lock-N-Load® Bullet Comparator; it eliminates variables when measuring the over-all length of a bullet. Bullet length can vary a few thousandths due to material variation and tip finish. The Lock-N-Load® Bullet Comparator Inserts allow the reloader to measure the bullet from the base to a specific point on the ogive, which has little variation, if any. This versatile system also provides the reloader with a much more consistent way to monitor the overall length of their reloads, allowing the reloader to build more precision into their handloads, that translates into better groups at the range and more meat in the freezer.

Add to the quality of your reloaded ammunition by using the M-1 Case Tumbler to clean and polish large quantities of cases quickly and efficiently. Coupled with Hornady® Tumbling Media, the cyclonic and vibratory action of the Tumbler cleans brass to a brilliant shine. Use the included sifter to separate the polished brass from the media. Running time varies based on the condition of the cases and degree of cleanliness desired. Holds up to (400) .38 Special cases, (180) 30-06 cases, or the equivalent of other like-sized cases.

.222 Remington – The perfect choice for varmint and small game The .222 Remington case is a pure Lapua quality product. This flat trajectory shooting caliber is excellent for small game hunting and varmint purposes. The .222 Rem. brass can be reloaded time after time, without losing its performance and precision.

Worn on the belt (20 rounds), this CASE-GARD ammo carrier puts twenty rounds at the hunter's fingertips. Each cartridge fits into its own recess, bullet down for easy removal. Two special ribs protect the bullet from touching the bottom of the case to guard against tip damage (which can change the flight characteristics of a bullet). Not only will your ammo be protected from dust and moisture, but the MTM Snap-Lok latch will prevent accidental openings. The calibers listed below will provide bullet tip protection with very little rattle; however, calibers not listed will fit loosely.

Sierra has enhanced a segment of the MatchKing line by adding the acetal resin tip, thus crowning the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet line.  The 175 grain Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet is an excellent choice for Palma, 3-Gun, and various other competitions. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.
