East Holme 400 Yard Range Session
East Holme Rifle Range, Holme Lane, Wareham, Dorset, BH20 5DH

 

Friday 10th May

  • 08:30 – 8:50 arrive, registration & range set up.
  • 09:00 – range brief.
  • East Holme rules dictate that should you arrive after the brief, you will not be permitted to shoot.
  • There is a limit of 16 shooters on a 1st come, 1st booked basis.

We will be proving zero at 100 yards (if you are bringing more than 1 rifle, all rifles must prove zero at 100 yards).

The session will shoot between 200 to 400 yards and formally finishes at 13:30.

The following muzzle energies and velocities are permitted:

  • Maximum Muzzle Velocity: 1000 m/s (3280 ft/s)
  • Maximum Muzzle Energy: 4500 J (3319 ft/lb)
  • The above will cover .223, 6.5 Creedmoor & .308 calibres.
  • High Muzzle Energy (HME) calibres are permitted between 4500 – 7000 joules (3320 to 5163 ft lbs) however dedicated HME procedures apply.

Cost:

  • Full member with your own rifle(s) & ammunition – only £40 per shooter.
  • Full or probationary member without an FAC - £75.00 sharing lane with a dedicated instructor*.
  • Full or probationary members without an FAC - £55.00 per shooter sharing an instructor*.
  • * These prices include a mentor and rifle hire (ammunition not included).
  • Non club members with own rifle & ammunition (with NRA or Rifleman Firearms Safe Shooter Card) - £50.00 per shooter.
  • A non-refundable £10.00 deposit is required in advance.
  • All balance payments are then due by  5th March, or your place will be offered to other shooters.

All above is based on sharing a lane for the 3½ hour session, should you want your own dedicated lane for the complete session, the price will vary, ask Ian for details.

Shooting insurance is compulsory to shoot, if you haven’t already got cover, we recommend the Country Cover Club see www.ccc3.co.uk and use code RIFLEMAN232 for a 10% discount – this cover is by far the most cost effective we can find. Alternatively, BASC, BDS or the NGO can offer similar cover but check their T&C’s.
 

We all must have either an NRA or Rifleman Firearms Safe Shooter Card (contact Ian at the range if you haven’t got one) AND complete the individual booking register form which MUST be submitted to ian@aim-training.co.uk at least 48-hours before the shoot date – the registration form is attached to this page.
