Unlike traditional break-barrel airguns, the Stoeger RX40 features an advanced underlever cocking mechanism. Because the barrel and cylinder are solidly assembled into a single rigid unit, there is zero breech movement or barrel play over time. This rigid architecture translates directly into tighter shot groups and impeccable long-range accuracy. Loading is managed safely via an innovative pop-up breech / pellet carrier that lifts automatically when cocked, eliminating the historical "bear trap" safety risks associated with underlever rifles.

Drawing from the rich styling heritage of the Beretta Group, the RX40 showcases a sleek Human Tech Design synthetic stock featuring ProAdaptive Checkering. Thanks to Stoeger's modular Multi Grip System (MGS), users can further personalise the rifle's look and tactile feel with interchangeable color-coded grip inserts and fore-end panels.

For quick target acquisition, the rifle is equipped with integrated fiber-optic open sights (fully adjustable rear and a hooded red front bar). Most models are supplied as a complete high-value combo package that includes a crisp 3-9x40 AO scope and mounts fitted right to the receiver's integral dovetail rail.
