Henry Lever Action Octagon Frontier Rifle
Like stagecoaches, swinging saloon doors and Pony Express riders, there are many innovations of the Old West that have long faded from use and live on only in Western movies and history books.
But there are still a few frontier staples that were so effective and ahead of their time that they remain in use today. Take, for instance, the intimidating octagonal barrels commonly found on the repeating rifles of that period. These heavy-duty workhorses sported added mass and extra weight to aid in heat absorption, making them the forerunners to the bull barrels used on modern target and varmint rifles.

CZ Rimfire 457 Thumbhole 16' Rifle
With an artful design and perfect ergonomics, the 457 Thumbhole has a sturdy laminated stock with a unique integrated trigger guard and comes in a classy grey/brown color scheme. With symmetrical features, this modern thumbhole is equally comfortable for both right-handed and left-handed shooters. The stable nature of the laminated stock and varmint cold hammer forged barrel allow shooters to effectively engage medium and long-range targets. The Thumbhole is chambered in .22 LR and comes with a 16” barrel. Its muzzle is threaded ½ x20 UNF and comes equipped with an efficient cylindrical compensator.
