Schmidt & Bender

The company Schmidt & Bender was founded in 1957 by Helmut Schmidt and Helmut Bender in Biebertal-Fellingshausen. What once began in a laundry room with the most modest of means, developed within a few years into one of the world's leading manufacturers of precision riflescopes for hunting, competition shooting, police and military.

Discover the history of Schmidt & Bender and take a look at the development of the product series as well as the changes of the logo and much more. You will recognize the philosophy that has been in place since the very beginning: Highest quality and precision to meet the ever increasing demands.

Helmut Schmidt and Helmut Bender founded the company Schmidt & Bender in Biebertal-Fellingshausen. At first, they worked with the most modest means in a laundry room but with a lot of passion and ingenuity. Highest precision and quality was not only a profession but also important for the precision mechanic Helmut Schmidt and the master precision mechanic Helmut Bender.

Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot CC MRAD
Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot CC MRAD
The 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot CC integrates a true red dot sight with the patented CC mode into one riflescope. Simply turn the magnification adjustment beyond the soft click at 1.1x to ‘CC’, and the system becomes parallax-free with a true 1x magnification for near distances of 7–10 m. The bright red dot in the second focal plane then serves as the aiming mark, while the fine CQB2 reticle is for tactical use at higher magnifications. All of this is accompanied by a generous eye box for quick acquisition. Click here to view Turret Configurations

Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC MRAD
Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC MRAD
This is a most technically advanced riflescope, since the 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC com-bines – in an 8x zoom ratio system – a distinct illuminated red dot in Second Focal Plane with a First Focal Plane tactical reticle. This being said, it can be used as a red dot sight for quick engagement of close targets while the MilDot base reticle can be used for accurate ranging and compensation for hold-offs and hold-under/over. The generous eye box/exit pupil sup-ports fast acquisition on any magnification. These combined features create the most ad-vanced multipurpose Close Combat and mid-range riflescope design. Schmidt & Bender 3-20x50 PM II DT LT/ST ZC LT MRAD
Schmidt & Bender 3-20x50 PM II DT LT/ST ZC LT MRAD
3-20x50 PM II/LP/MTC/LT is in use by the German Army and other military units around the globe. The variable magnification from 3 to 20x permits the scope to be used universally on a multitude of rifles with many different calibers. The shooter has two turns available for elevation adjustment, the so called Double Turn turret. Here, a tactile rotational indicator appears on the top of the turret during the transition to the second rotation. In addition, at every 10th click (More Tactile Clicks function), the tactile response is more pronounced, making fast adjustment possible without having to look at the turret. The locking action is triggered by pulling up the outer ring of the turret, and it is set by pressing it down again. A red symbol indicates the locked position. Due to its rather comprehensive total adjusting range of 26 Mil/64 MOA the scope may even be used at very large distances. Different reticles can be selected in either first or second focal plane.
