BSA Since 1861
In a little over hundred years BSA has grown from a small union of gunsmiths to become one of Britain’s important industrial groups. The story is not entirely one of steady progress and expansion there is drama and excitement too. And because BSA has served its country more directly than most private concerns, its story is also part of Britain’s history.
Apart from the company’s own factories in Birmingham, Coventry, Redditch, Sheffield and Co. Durham, many dispersal units and shadow factories were used for the purpose of arms production. The Small Heath administration alone (BSA Cycles Ltd and BSA Guns Ltd) controlled 67 factories, employing 28,000 people and containing 25,000 machine tools. This organisation produced more than half the small arms supplied to Britain’s forces during the war. BSA’s war production included nearly half a million of the Browning machine guns with which RAF Spitfires and Hurricanes won the Battle of Britain; one and a quarter million service rifles; 400,000 Sten guns; machine guns, cannon, anti-tank rifles, and gun carriages, ten million shell fuses,over three and a half million magazines, and 750,000 anti-aircraft rockets. Several Group factories were heavily bombed and at Small Heath more than 50 employees lost their lives.

BSA Lightning XL SE Beech Air Rifle
The latest version of this phenomenally successful rifle raises the sporting performance bar still further, The Lightning XL SE provides all the power and accuracy required, using BSA’s world renowned Cold Hammer Forged barrel, which is Made in Birmingham, England.
The XL SE’s beautiful Beech stock, comes fully chequered for enhance grip in all weather conditions. The ventilated butt pad ensures maximum recoil absorption, whilst added to the appearance of these classic Sporter lines. The carbine barrel is totally sleeved by a slim line silencer and the enhanced adjustable trigger provides perfect control of every shot. BSA R12 CLX Bolt Action Rifle
Following the successful unveiling of the Ultra CLX model in 2021 and R12 CLX Pro in September 2022, BSA Guns are delighted to announce our next launch in form of the R12 CLX Bolt Action. This will become available in two lengths, carbine and the shorter super carbine version, in three Minelli produced stock choices, walnut, black pepper laminate and the black edition. Available in both main calibres .177 and .22 with other calibres planned to follow.Building on the success of the much-loved R10SE, we have carefully designed the new R12 CLX Bolt action to not only enhance the classic features of its predecessor but also to add key benefits and improvements that allow this new variant to achieve even greater levels of performance.

BSA Ultra CLX PCP Air Rifle
The BSA Ultra CLX sets the bar to a new height taking over the lead role of BSA’s mid-sized sporter from the already high performing and time trusted Ultra SE. The CLX retains the core values of its predecessor yet due its unique Monoblock platform pushes its overall performance to the next level. The new Monoblock platform is the result of extensive design development and reduces the amount of internal component parts thus increasing its overall reliability and efficiency. For the first time on a BSA we introduce our new Anti-double load 12 shot magazine system complete with shot countdown indicator. Air capacity and efficiency is greater than ever before giving a significant increase in shot count by up to 50%, whilst a completely new design of rotary safety catch and fully adjustable trigger provide the controllable feel of a much higher priced PCP model.

BSA GRT Lightning SE Beech Air Rifle
To create our new GRT Lightning SE, we have taken our successful Lightning model, added the SE improvements and finally exchanged the traditional steel main spring for Gas Ram Technology.
There are considerable benefits to the shooter of switching to a gas ram powered air rifle. The action of cocking the gun is smoother requiring the same pressure from the beginning to the end of the stroke; vibration when firing is reduced as the ram runs effortlessly down the cylinder and accuracy to target is improved as the pellet exits the barrel at greater speeds.

The GRT Lightning XL SE has all the new and improved features that its spring-powered sister has. A new two-stage trigger gives a crisp release with minimal pressure. A new stock has been designed with attractive chequering at the key touch points of fore-end and pistol grip. A slim-line silencer encases the barrel and reduces the sound of muzzle blast, whilst a ventilated butt pad ensures comfortable contact with the shooter’s shoulder.
An addition to all these features the gas ram provides further benefits that enhance the shooter’s experience. The gas ram does not vibrate when discharged resulting in less gun movement when the trigger is pulled; the pellet exits the barrel at a faster speed resulting in better accuracy; the gas ram has a greater life expectancy than a spring with less likelihood of performance deterioration through metal fatigue whilst the cocking action is smoother and more even.
